FBO Version 4.7 Release April 1, 2011 Overview

On April 1, The Fed Bizopps System is scheduled for a software update.  The changes to the FBO system are outlined below.

This FBO release contains six changes:

1. Displays the contract number on the list display when Recovery Act awards are accessed from the [SEARCH RECOVERY AWARDS] button on the home page.
2. Allows an agency to use XML to bring back/extract data from FBO into their business warehouse systems.
3. Validates notice numbers by type, i.e. allows the use of the same notice number for your pre-solicitation/solicitation, special notice, sources sought, etc..
4. Allows an agency to use the FBO Web Services to amend/modify any data element (able to be amended/modified) on a submitted notice.
5. Creates a new notice type called "Fair Opportunity / Limited Sources Justification" in support of FAR Case 2007-012.
6. Implements the two new set-aside categories (WOSB and Economically Disadvantaged WOSB) in support of the Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Program.
